Privacy Policy

The Construction Industry Drug and Alcohol Foundation (the Foundation) recognises the importance of privacy protection. We respect your right to privacy and we recognise the trust you are placing in us through your dealings with us. As such we do everything we can to maintain that trust.
The Program has implemented measures to comply with its obligations under the National Privacy Principles. Any information provided to the Program is defined as “personal information” under the Privacy Act 1988.

What information we collect and why we collect it

We collect contact information for our database which includes: name; address; phone numbers and email addresses. This information is used for the purposes of fundraising, and at times to keep you informed of any new issues or developments that we think may interest you.
Financial information such as bank account, credit card or other financial details are only used to process a donation made by yourself or your organisation to the Foundation.

Internet Enquiries

Information received by way of our “Contacts” page is only used for the purpose of the enquiry, however your details may be added to our database. Other than this the Foundation does not obtain any information from any visitor to our website by virtue of their use of the internet.
If a contact or enquiry is related to treatment and/or rehabilitation, all information from that enquiry will be treated as is outlined in the “Treatment and Rehabilitation enquiries” section below.

Treatment and Rehabilitation enquiries

All information collected by the Foundation is subject to the general constraints of the Privacy Act as outlined above.
However in addition to the requirements of the Privacy Act, all enquiries concerning information on admission to Foundation House will be treated as confidential within the parameters of accepted clinical practice. This information would only be given to a third party with the consent of the person concerned, or under subpoena from a court of law.

How this information is held

The security of your information is important to us. When we have collected information about you it cannot be seen or modified by anyone else. We make all reasonable efforts to ensure that your information is stored securely – both in electronic and physical forms.

Will your personal information be given to anyone else?

Our database, contact list and all other information is collected exclusively for use by the Foundation and we do not rent, sell, loan or otherwise disclose or distribute information to any third party.
